We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated MECM Engineer to join our
innovative IT team. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft
Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and a proven track record of implementing and
maintaining MECM solutions in complex enterprise environments. As an Experienced
MECM Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the optimisation and efficiency of our
MECM infrastructure and solutions to meet the evolving needs such as alignment of our
UK Restricted Government accounts.
Responsibilities:
Implement, and maintain SCCM/MECM/MCM infrastructure to support software
deployment, and endpoint configuration across multiple client estates.
Lead, or assist with MECM upgrade and migration projects, ensuring seamless
transitions and minimal disruptions to operations and participate in Operational
Readiness Review activities.
Develop and maintain automated scripts and workflows to streamline MECM
processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for MECM related
issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess needs,
and design MECM application solutions that align with Modern Workplace service
offerings.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of MECM infrastructure,
configurations, and procedures.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, nurturing their professional
growth and development in MECM deployment and administration.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to MECM and
endpoint management and make recommendations for adoption where
applicable.
Requirements:
Extensive experience working with MECM in an enterprise environment.
In-depth knowledge of MECM, design principles, and best practices.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and/or other scripting
languages.
Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems (Physical & Virtual), Active
Directory, and Group Policy.
Experience with MECM integration with other Microsoft technologies (e.g., Intune,
Azure Active Directory).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot
complex issues and drive resolutions.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks
effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact
effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Desirables:
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator
Associate, Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are highly
desirable.
