The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We design, build, and operate complex, mission-critical systems that help keep people safe and secure. We bring innovation using proven and emerging technologies, agile delivery processes, and deep expertise across space, defence, intelligence, aerospace, and maritime domains, underpinned by end-to-end cyber capability. We work closely with global technology partners, SMEs, and academia to deliver optimal solutions for each client.
We are looking for experienced architects to join an existing architecture team working on innovation projects across space and defence domains.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Solution Architects: You will analyse requirements to identify, assess, and select appropriate solutions and technologies. You will provide leadership for solution delivery, guide clients to ensure value is realised, and work closely with development teams on complex solution design. You will identify risks, costs, and opportunities, and help define strategies while supporting Agile delivery teams with guidance, standards, and constraints.
Technical Architects: You will apply deep technical expertise to collaborate across teams and ensure alignment with project goals. You will help establish robust, scalable, and future-ready technical environments, contributing to both delivery and long-term architectural direction.
Enterprise Architects: You will define and govern system and solution architecture, including models, decisions, validation, and evolution. You will work with clients and stakeholders to shape overall architecture strategy, support business development activities, and produce high-level architectural artefacts.
All architects will work closely with client teams, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective problem solving.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will bring extensive experience in Enterprise, Solution, or Technical Architecture, with skills aligned to one or more of the following areas:
• Cloud (AWS, Azure)
• Software Engineering (Java, C#, Python)
• Infrastructure (Server, Storage, Networking)
• Systems Integration / Migration
• Data Architecture
Desirable: Background in Space or Defence domains.
All successful applicants must hold, or be eligible and willing to obtain, UK SC clearance with the potential to progress to higher-level clearance if required.
