CGI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer to work on a project delivering and supporting mission-critical software.
Please note: Due to the nature of the role, it's not always possible to work from home. We ask that any prospective candidates are willing to travel to our Leatherhead office (Surrey) 3-4 days per week so please consider when applying.
All candidates must be eligible to undergo SC clearance should this be required for any projects.
Your future duties and responsibilities
CGI are delivering a cutting-edge 5G/SatComs project for a high-profile client, including integrating a 5G private network and SatComs links supplied by major operators.
The successful candidate will be part of the infrastructure team implementing the solution including integrating the constituent parts together. This will include for example building VM environments, implementing networking solutions, firewalls and automated scripting.
The ideal candidate should be keen to learn new technologies as well as applying their own experience to optimising the solution as it is deployed, and trouble-shooting. You will have direct interaction with the customer, to understand their requirements and iterate to achieve the best solution. You will work as part of a wider project team, supported directly by a senior team leader with many years of experience of designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.
