Join us at Barclays as a Programme Management Office Manager, where you will support the delivery of high-impact programmes within the Organisation Simplification initiative, a workstream within an ambitious strategic programme (Catalyst) to drive efficiency, commercial impact and enhanced customer, client and colleague experiences.
In this role you will establish and lead a PMO, establishing strong controls and effective reporting across multiple projects, including target operating model delivery, organisation change and risk governance streamlining.
To be successful as a Programme Management Office Manager, you should have experience with:
Running a PMO for a large-scale transformation in Financial Services.
Practical and pragmatic implementation of best practice programme controls.
Maintaining integrated delivery plans, milestone tracking, risk management and dependency management for complex, cross functional programmes.
Maintaining a programme RAID log and ensuring the items are clearly articulated and actions are actively managed.
Providing clear programme communications (progress, planned activities, key decisions, risks etc) to ExCo level audiences.
Managing senior stakeholders (MD/ExCo level) and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience of Target Operating Model delivery programmes.
Experience of HR-led transformation programmes
Adept at co-ordinating disparate sources of information under time pressure.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as Risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology—as well as job-specific technical skills including programme management, programme governance and controls, stakeholder management and benefits realisation.
This role can be based from our London or Glasgow office.
