broadcaster and audio operator. Our team focuses on providing a market-leading
intelligent distribution network that enables our clients to stream live and on-demand

The Main Focus of the Role:
The Linux Systems Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the high availability and
performance of Sharpstream’s audio streaming platform. You’ll work on designing,
building, and optimizing our Linux-based infrastructure and automating processes to
help maintain our 99.995% SLA.
Key Responsibilities:
 Design and implement scalable Linux systems using infrastructure as code and
automation tools like Ansible.

 Monitor and troubleshoot system performance to maintain high availability and
meet performance targets.
 Optimize the TCP/IP stack and tune network systems for maximum efficiency
and throughput.
 Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to continuously improve system
performance and reliability.
 Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure any system emergencies are swiftly
resolved.

What We’re Looking For:
 Essential Skills:
o 3-5 years of experience in Linux systems administration (Debian
preferred).
o Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and cloud platforms like
AWS or GCP.
o Strong understanding of network protocols, particularly TCP/IP, and
experience with load balancing (e.g., Nginx, HAProxy).
o Experience in container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a
plus.
o Experience with relational databases like MySQL, Galera or BigQuery
o Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently
and collaboratively.
