Our Technology Department is at the heart of ASOS and where everything is made possible. So as you’d imagine, we take it pretty seriously.
As part of the technology team you’ll be responsible for all the websites and applications that power ASOS. You’ll join a group of very talented people, working across engineering, support, enterprise architecture and analytics. All the stuff that brings what we do to life.
As a team, we never sit still. We always have to move fast. And we rise to the challenges that come with being such a fast-growing business. After all, we wouldn’t be where we are today if we did things the same as everyone else.
For example, last year, we successfully launched our shopping app for iPhone/iPad which was downloaded by around 300K its first three weeks in the UK. A number of enhancements were also made on both web and mobile sites, making the experience even better for our customers.
Our Technology department has played a huge part in the launch of all our International websites; this has been a big success in making sure ASOS becomes a global fashion retailer.

A quick search will show that terrible technical interviews are fairly common. There are horror stories where a candidate is expected to write perfectly compiling algorithm code on a whiteboard, observed by a room full of people — X factor style.
Normally woken by our cat Iolo (think the Welsh TV presenter not YOLO) asking for food and attention. I have a back-up alarm for 7am but it’s never needed. The second task is making coffee for me and my partner.
