Sharp Gaming is the next generation sports betting & gaming platform. We want talented and determined people to join us.
Sharp Gaming was founded in 2017 and quickly became famous for building advanced gaming technology for the global gambling industry. In 2021 our biggest client, Fred Done of Betfred (who knows a winner when he sees one) recognised the talent, the drive and the ambition of our team and he made us an offer we couldn’t refuse. We accepted. And in 2021 we officially became part of the Betfred family.
We kept our freedom and independence - the skills that set us apart and help us cut through the competition – but as part of the Betfred family we have the investment to innovate, to drive advanced, creative technologies forward and build unrivalled gaming experiences, we just build it for Betfred.
We’re a team of software engineers and developers - right up to our CEO and we work together, we work fast, and we aim high, creating the tech that drives Betfred. We are ambitious, focused, always cutting through the complexities and deliver flexible, scalable technology and creating the ultimate customer experience.
When you put it like that it's a privileged position to be in, in such a short space of time.
If gaming and gambling isn’t for you, then for a lot of our roles you’re probably not for us. That seems harsh but that interest and understanding is key to our work. If you are not interested or prepared to learn fast, then this will limit your creativity. Driving change and building innovative solutions is everything at Sharp Gaming. We want you to enjoy the challenge and be your best.
We dare to try. We thrive on the challenge. And we never stop, always asking “What’s next?”
We’re open, we’re honest and we succeed because we work together. Everyone pulls in the same direction. Everyone jumps. We’re always looking to improve, to help each other, to challenge each other. To be better. And together, we’re sharper, smarter, better.

On the 8th of July, we partnered with tech recruitment agency Lorien to host a TechGirls workshop from the 6th floor of our head office, Steam Packet House, in the centre of Manchester.
I am an IT Support Engineer so I handle day to day IT problems and projects. That can be anything from server or network issues to common computer issues that crop up for users.
I am a backend developer on the Core team. Our team is responsible for all things related to the compliance of the platform and protecting the player. Some examples of the work we do include requirements from UKGC, responsible gambling tools, sessions management, and accessibility.
Do you ever finish a day at work feeling that you weren’t productive? I’ve researched the topic over the years, experimented with some different techniques, discarded some ideas and settled on the ones that work for me. I do feel some of the basic ones have really helped me to focus and become more productive in life.
