We are seeking a Director of Product Development to lead the 0→1 creation of new, cloud-native enterprise products focused on data platforms and agentic systems. Based in Pune, this role will own the technical and executional leadership for early-stage products spanning data orchestration, MLOps, observability, data lineage, and emerging agentic orchestration capabilities.This is a hands-on leadership role for a builder. You will lead small, high-impact teams to take ambiguous ideas from concept to production, working in close partnership with Product Management and Design, and aligning with a broader platform and architecture strategy set by senior leadership.Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:• Own the end-to-end development of new products from concept through early customer adoption (0→1).• Grow, scale, lead and manage a focused engineering organization (typically 10-20 engineers) delivering cloud-native, enterprise-grade software.• Drive architecture, design, and implementation across data orchestration, MLOps, observability, and lineage domains.• Build early agentic orchestration capabilities, including agent integration patterns, coordination mechanisms, and foundational governance concepts.• Partner tightly with Product Management to shape roadmap, define MVP scope, and make disciplined tradeoffs between speed, quality, and extensibility.• Translate customer problems and business goals into concrete technical execution.• Establish strong engineering fundamentals: code quality, testing, CI/CD, reliability, and security appropriate for enterprise environments.• Mentor senior engineers and first-line managers, developing technical leadership depth within the team.• Act as the primary technical point of accountability for new products, escalating risks and dependencies clearly and early.
