The Role
The Head of Product is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and delivering product strategy across a significant portion of our portfolio. You will lead and evolve a high performing product function, embedding disciplined discovery, clear prioritisation, and high-quality execution across the portfolio.
You will combine strategic clarity with operational rigour. You will set direction, align teams, and ensure consistent delivery across multiple product areas. You will work closely with Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure our roadmap is commercially grounded, enterprise ready, and delivers measurable value for clients and the business.
This role requires experience building and professionalising product teams in B2B SaaS environments, strong commercial judgement, and the confidence to operate as an executive peer within a fast growing, private equity backed business.
Main responsibilities
Product strategy and roadmap
Define and evolve the product vision and multiyear strategy in partnership with the Chief Product Officer.
Translate company objectives into clear product priorities and sequenced roadmaps, balancing growth, optimisation, and technical sustainability.
Lead structured product planning cycles, aligning investment decisions with company growth targets and delivery capacity.
Ensure product investments are aligned to commercial impact, enterprise client value, and long-term differentiation.
Balance innovation, optimisation, and platform resilience across the portfolio.
Product operating model and leadership
Own the evolution of our product operating model, ensuring clarity of decision rights, prioritisation governance, and measurable outcomes.
Lead, coach, and develop a high performing product team, hiring and retaining strong talent and building a credible leadership bench.
Establish clear standards for discovery, experimentation, roadmap governance, and outcome measurement.
Drive performance management within the product function, setting clear expectations and holding teams accountable for impact.
Introduce structure and discipline appropriate to a scale up environment, without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Foster a culture of ownership, curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Cross functional collaboration
Partner closely with Engineering leadership to ensure strong alignment between product ambition, architectural integrity, and delivery capability.
Collaborate with Product Marketing to shape positioning, packaging, messaging, and go to market strategy, ensuring coherence between product strategy and commercial narrative.
Partner with Revenue leadership to ensure enterprise client needs inform roadmap priorities without fragmenting product strategy.
Work with Sales and Customer Success to embed structured feedback loops and ensure roadmaps support revenue growth, expansion, and retention.
Represent Product in strategic client conversations, demonstrating credibility in complex, governance heavy enterprise environments.
Commercial ownership and performance
Define and track success metrics across adoption, engagement, retention, and revenue impact.
Embed product analytics and experimentation frameworks to move decision making from intuition to evidence.
Use data, market insight, and client evidence to inform trade-offs and prioritisation decisions.
Support forecasting and business planning processes with clear product assumptions and measurable impact modelling.
Ensure product decisions are grounded in demonstrable return on investment and long-term account value.
Client and market insight
Maintain a deep understanding of enterprise client needs, governance trends, and competitive dynamics.
Balance configurability and flexibility with product coherence and long-term platform integrity.
Champion disciplined discovery to identify and validate the highest value problems to solve.
Required Skills and Experience
Significant experience in senior product leadership roles within B2B SaaS or technology enabled services businesses.
Proven track record of building, scaling, and professionalising product functions in high growth or private equity backed environments.
Demonstrated experience defining product strategy and owning multi product roadmaps with clear commercial impact.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect product investment to revenue growth, retention, expansion, and profitability.
Experience building product analytics capability and embedding data driven decision making.
Experience operating in enterprise or complex stakeholder environments, with an understanding of governance, procurement, and long sales cycles.
Confidence operating as an executive leader, constructively challenging peers and influencing cross functional decision making.
Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, moving fluidly between long term vision and day to day execution.
Experience in AI enabled or data driven products is advantageous.
Exposure to private equity backed or high growth scale up environments is advantageous.
