Join us as a Sponsorship Activation Manager, where you will work within the Group Brand and Marketing (PPCR) team to lead the activation and delivery of key global sponsorships on behalf of the business. The role will involve developing and executing activation plans that align with brand, marketing, and wider business objectives, as well as managing and evaluating our sponsorships to ensure they deliver maximum impact.

The role involves managing ongoing relationships with sponsorship rights holders and supporting the identification and assessment of activation opportunities within existing and new properties. A key focus will be delivering major international sponsorship activations—including Williams F1 team —and coordinating activity that involves working with high‑profile talent and partners.

You will be expected to network and manage senior internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination with rights holders, agencies, and internal teams. You must have excellent planning and execution skills to manage a complex, international activation portfolio. Flexibility is essential to attend events where our sponsorships are activated—many in London but with international travel—which may fall outside standard working hours.

To be successful as a Sponsorship Activation Manager, you should have the following experience:

  • Experience in sponsorship activation and/or marketing roles
  • Hands‑on Formula 1 sponsorship activation experience
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management capabilities
  • Excellent prioritisation, planning, and coordination skills
  • Experience working with talent as part of sponsorship or brand activation
  • Experience delivering sponsorship activations across multiple international markets

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience activating sport and/or entertainment partnerships beyond F1
  • Background in marketing or sponsorship partnering within a complex or global organisation
  • Experience collaborating with agencies and rights holders on large‑scale events or campaigns

Purpose of the role

To develop and execute sponsorship strategies that align with overall marketing objectives, identifying, evaluating, and negotiating sponsorship opportunities, as well as managing and activating sponsorships to maximise their impact

Accountabilities

  • Identification of sponsorship opportunities that enhance brand visibility, drive customer engagement, and support key business initiatives.
  • Negotiation and finalisation of sponsorship agreements that align with the bank’s brand values and marketing strategy.
  • Tracking and analysis of the performance of sponsorships against predefined metrics.
  • Management of the sponsorship budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
  • Provision regular reports and insights to evaluate the effectiveness of sponsorship activities and make data-driven recommendations for future initiatives.
