 We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Modelling Analyst

Purpose of the role

Analytics, Digital and Architecture (ADA) is a recently established function within Global Finance. ADA’s aim is to be the pioneering force shaping the future of analytics, engineering, and innovation to empower insight and strategic decision making in Finance. ADA is a globally diverse team; this role is a senior role within the Finance Analytics section of this wider team.

Within ADA, the Analytics team is responsible for the development of quantitative models and advanced analytics solutions for Finance. We are seeking a techno-analytical professional with strong C++ programming skills to join our Finance Analytics team. The primary focus will be the design, implementation, and maintenance of a quantitative library supporting Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book and Hedge Accounting. The role also involves managing key stakeholder relationships within Finance.

The ADA Analytics team aims to ensure that Finance develops models, methodologies and other analytics that bring tangible benefit to the users, housed within a robust framework and compliant with regulatory rules.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain high-performance financial analytics libraries and tools using C++ and deploying these across various products & portfolios for global finance internal programs.
  • Develop & implement quantitative models for pricing, valuation and scenario analysis across the fixed income asset class.
  • Collaborate with quantitative analysts and other related teams to translate financial models into scalable production code.
  • Optimize algorithms and systems for low-latency and high computational efficiency.
  • Perform data analysis and model validation to ensure accuracy and robustness of analytics outputs.
  • Integrate analytics solutions with enterprise data platforms, systems, and reporting tools.
  • Contribute across the various stages of modeling life cycle, model documentation, testing frameworks, and code quality standards.
  • Support regulatory and risk reporting analytics where required.
  • Stay on top of changing regulatory needs, reporting standards and understand their impact on the models
  • Ideate, develop & deploy operational efficiency enhancing solutions using new tools, techniques, and technology.

To be successful you will:

  • 1+ years of prior experience with Degree / Masters in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering (BE/ BTech/ MTech).
  • Very strong techno-functional problem solving and strong quantitative reasoning
  • Exposure to quantitative finance, financial modeling, or banking analytics systems.
  • Experience with working in investment banking, risk technology, or quant teams.
  • Strong programming experience in C++ (STL, multithreading, performance optimization).
  • Understanding of financial markets, hedge funds, or trading desks.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities (probability, numerical methods, PDEs).
  • Experience with numerical methods, algorithms, and data structures.
