Project Highlights

The project that you will be working on is a search engine that powers end user's search and browse experience for media content across STBs, Apps and streaming devices. With a customer base of 30 million plus (and growing) we deal with about 1.5 billion requests per day. The video content catalog is constantly growing which always poses a challenge to engineers to ensure that the system is at optimal performance returning results in a few hundred milliseconds even during peak usage of the system. The project is built on microservice architecture with about 300 instances across multiple data centers.
The Role:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to write and develop code, work on all aspects of the application technological development, and contribute develop and maintain high quality, distributed and resilient services in production.
Core Responsibilities

•    Analyze requirements, design, develop and unit test code.
•    Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
•    Collaborate across Development, QA and Ops teams.
•    Maintain uptime, responsiveness, and scalability for all in-house applications and respond to any technical emergencies
•    Document processes and instill best practices
Required qualification
-----------------------
•    Requires 2 to 3 years related experience and MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
•    Software development experience in Golang or Kotlin.
•    Familiarity of the Linux command-line.
•    Experience developing for and in cloud solutions
•    Docker/K8s knowledge is plus point
•    Experience in DevOps processes and related tools
•    Ability to learn other coding languages as needed. For e.g Scala, Python, Golang
•    Exceptional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work independently and extremely well in an Agile/SCRUM team setting
•    Proactive, inquisitive and always looking for a challenge and want to constantly grow as a professional
