Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented associate attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent writing and analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering the highest level of professional legal service to our clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses
Assist senior attorneys in all phases of litigation including case strategy, discovery, and trial preparation
Take and defend depositions
Participate in motion practice and court appearances
Draft appellate briefs and assist with oral argument preparation
Manage case files and maintain regular communication with clients, experts, and co-counsel
Collaborate with team members on complex, high-exposure cases
Practice Areas:
The associate will gain exposure to the firm's diverse defense practice areas, including:
Medical malpractice defense
Product liability
Commercial litigation
Professional liability
Mass tort and class action defense
Institutional liability
Appellate practice
Insurance coverage disputes
Construction litigation
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
2+ years of civil litigation experience (defense experience preferred)
Active Illinois bar license in good standing
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent oral advocacy abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to professional excellence and client service
