Security Flow Co-ordinator

Your role will involve:

• The purpose of this role is to assist and support the security function at Terminal 5 in the delivery of the daily operational plan, managing any deviations from the plan by controlling the flow of passengers into the various security areas and effectively communicating relevant and real-time information to the Security Operational Managers, the Security Managers, Resource Allocators, and the CLIO teams and any other relevant frontline teams. Utilising agreed tactics, the role supports the strategies and direction of the Security Operations lead, Security Operations Manager APOC and Planning Manager, communicating any deviations from plan to the Security Operations Managers and CLIO teams to minimise disruption and enhance passenger experience by avoiding unnecessary delays. 
• The role also provides an oversight management of the Jetty Patrol requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and interrogates lives systems to provide key data to the patrols, thereby ensuring compliance standards are met. All logs and records form part of the auditable chain submitted to the Security Compliance Team within the terminals.

Responsibilities

• Review and report on SQR priorities, taking instruction from the on-duty Security Operations Manager APOC to coordinate and facilitate the improvement of performance and the maximisation of Security Flow. 
• Support other business units by providing relevant and real time information to the Security Team, Resource Allocators and Clio teams. Achieve this by highlighting bottlenecks and stoppages on the Security search lanes to improve performance and the maximisation of the Security flow.
• Maximise security flow by pro-actively monitoring queues and effectively balancing the flow into the security concourses from North Direct, South Direct and Transfer Areas utilising the CCTV system and various IT platforms.
• Provide and communicate relevant and real-time information to the Security Team, liaison with The Security Flow Managers, Resource Allocators and CLIO teams.
• Liaison with stakeholders around unexpected passenger numbers, delays or cancellations of the plan.

Qualifications

• You must have 1 year similar experience  
• Proven communications skills, with an ability to adapt and operate within a small team and to communicate clearly at all levels IT skills, focussed on interpretation of databases, use of live systems and Microsoft Excel Capable of working in a high-pressure and performance sensitive environment
