DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Craft clean, maintainable, and optimized code, following established software development best practices. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role and participate in rigorous code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and maintain high code quality and ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Collaborate with diverse teams to conceptualize, design, and deliver new features. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and evolving software development methodologies to foster continuous learning and improvement. Actively contribute to refining development processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus three years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Software Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: three (3) years of experience in Java and J2EE to build scalable, high-performance server-side applications that serve as the backbone for microservices; Leverage the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Cloud) for building microservices; Use Hibernate to manage the persistence layer of microservices; Design and implement RESTful APIs for service-to-service communication; Lead the design and development of complex, distributed systems following microservices architecture principles; Define and enforce system boundaries, service granularity, and communication protocols; three (3) years of experience in designing and developing complex user interfaces using ReactJS, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript, ensuring modularity, reusability, and scalability of components; Utilize Webpack and Module Federation to manage the dynamic loading and communication between micro frontend modules across different teams and applications; Leverage HTML, CSS, SASS, and modern frontend frameworks to develop clean, responsive, and performant UIs; progressive web applications (PWA) development; and three (3) years of experience in designing and developing robust automated testing frameworks using tools including Selenium, Cucumber, Junit, and Jest to ensure comprehensive test coverage and early defect detection.
