Your team

Reporting into the Data Protection Officer, the Data Governance Senior Manager will lead the day-to-day management of the DG Office (and team), the DG framework and DG operations. They will be Flutter UKI’s go-to senior data governance domain expert and will be encouraged to drive a standard process DG culture across Flutter UKI that results in industry leading efficiencies, accountability, and stakeholder trust in our data management.

 

The DG Office is part of Flutter UKI’s Risk & Legal function, acting as a second line of defence office focused on minimising the risks associated with mismanagement of data. The Data Governance Office provides direction, oversight, and control to help ensure that data is lead sufficiently to enable the business to meet its’ objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Assisting the DPO & DGO with data governance strategy and leadership within UKI, in accordance with our data compliance obligations, risk appetite and commercial strategy and objectives.

  • Leading all aspects of the UKI Data Governance framework design, development, delivery, maintenance and assurance, to facilitate Flutter UKI’s implementation of robust data management practices that directly improve our ability to meet compliance obligations, reduce risks and deliver commercial objectives.

  • Providing professional data governance advice and support to the Flutter UKI Division as a proactive and approachable authority.

  • Monitoring and research of external and internal business environment to ensure that the Flutter UKI Data Governance framework aligns with standard process.

  • Creating, maintaining, refining and obtaining assurance of implementation of data governance policies, standards, procedures and related documentation.

  • Conducting ongoing assurance , through metrics and measurement, on policy and standards implementation, particularly in the areas of data quality, data lineage and traceability, and organisation of data through metadata management.

  • Leading a program of work to procure, secure approval for, implement and maintain an enterprise-grade data governance technology solution for Flutter UKI to harmonise and streamline data discovery, data quality monitoring, data lineage, metadata management, and data integration.

 

How you’ll do it

  • An experienced data governance professional with data governance specific experience, some of which has been served at senior manager level or higher.

  • Deep, practical domain expertise in the areas of data quality, metadata and master data management, data cataloging and data lineage.

  • Consistent track record of leading and delivering data governance programs and frameworks within in a similar type of business and challenging commercial environment.

  • Expertise in implementing and maintaining enterprise-grade data governance software platforms.

  • Proficiency in working with enterprise-grade business management and collaboration software (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Slack, Zoom, MS Teams).
