Service Controls Manager / Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist 

In this role, you will:

• Partner with Value Stream Leads, ITSOs and Engineering Leads to implement and remediate control gaps across environments (DEV/UAT/Test/Prod).
• Translate control requirements (e.g., GRAS priorities / KCIs) into clear technical tasks, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
• Drive quick-win improvements (e.g., deployment controls, patch compliance, asset hygiene, vulnerability backlog reduction).
• Maintain and improve the single view of compliance (e.g., IT Controls Tracker), ensuring data is accurate, timely, and audit-ready.
• Produce and validate control evidence from tooling (e.g., ServiceNow, vulnerability platforms, asset sources, Venafi) and support reporting inputs for governance packs.
• Identify recurring data quality issues (e.g., ownership, CI mapping, EIMS/ITSA alignment) and fix root causes with teams.
• Support vulnerability and patching initiatives by coordinating technical actions with Cyber and platform teams (e.g., prioritisation, exception handling, remediation tracking).
• Improve outcomes across IDAM and access-related controls by working with control owners and engineering to embed sustainable practices.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Strong technical background in service management, engineering, or SRE, with a solid understanding of technology risk and controls.
• Proven ability to drive remediation across vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of security patching lifecycle.
• Proven knowledge and experience of IT service operational controls.
• Experience supporting governance forums, KCIs/KPIs, and audit/control assurance activities in large enterprise environments.
• Comfortable using trackers, dashboards, and evidence packs, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator who works across teams, challenges constructively, and keeps delivery moving.
• Development and support to 24x7 Digital Channels.
