capability at VMO2!

The successful candidates will help shape the future of data-driven innovation. Our AI & Data team is driving growth by unlocking the power of mobile network data (MND) to build entirely new data monetisation opportunities. As a Data Engineer, you'll be at the heart of building scalable, production-grade data platforms and pipelines that deliver real-world impact.
Your Mission:
Build the Data Engine: Design and optimise our MND data platform for performance, cost,
and flexibility.
Enhance Location Intelligence: Refine algorithms that infer user location and mobility
patterns
Be responsible for the Pipeline: Collaborate with engineers and product teams to build
resilient, scalable data pipelines.
Deliver Actionable Insights: Ensure outputs align with stakeholder needs and deliver real
customer value.
Support and Improve: Solve technical challenges, improve methodologies, and drive
continuous innovation.
The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
Strong Python & SQL knowledge,
Confidence working with geospatial data, GIS tools, and real-time data streams
Experience with Databricks, Spark, and Azure
Git, and CI/CD skills
GIS experience and proficiency with geospatial libraries (e.g., GeoPandas, QGIS, PostGIS).
The other stuff we're looking for We'd also love you to bring;
Delivery focused, a track record of building and delivering Data Products for Clients
Azure is preferred, but stong knowledge of AWS or GCP is good.
A mentality for problem-solving, teamwork, and customer impact
