Data Science & Analytics Specialist

As our new Data Science & Analytics Specialist you’ll have a major impact on helping us achieve our goal. You’ll be at the forefront of data and insight led change, working in collaboration with business and central data teams to democratise data and analytical capabilities through the Enablement workstream of our Data Strategy.

What you’ll be doing:   
 

• You'll be passionate about discovering and unlocking value from data and be able to translate this passion to engage, communicate and advocate best practice in data science and analytics with the analytical community at Jet2.com.  
• You'll undertake data discovery, preparation, exploratory analysis, model design and development within a data analytics lifecycle.  
• You'll provide business outreach activity to support the adoption of policies, processes, and technologies, co-develop solutions, resolve technical queries, and nurture talent to support our strategic goal of empowering and enabling our analytical teams.  

What you’ll have:  
 

• Analytical background with a passion for unlocking the power of data.   
• Familiar with the modern data stack and with applied experience of developing data science and/or analytics solutions.  
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Ability to apply these skills in direct collaboration with business teams, acting as a subject matter expert for data science and analytics.
