You will lead end-to-end analyses spanning the entire problem-solving lifecycle, develop model POC, identify gaps, conduct root cause investigations, develop prototype solutions, gather and analyze complex data, quantify business value through A/B test or non-randomized pilot, generating actionable insights and delivering presentations to product teams. The role also involves enabling customer self-service across Chase engagement channels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resolve data and model development issues proactively.
  • Develop SQL and Python codebases and maintain clear documentation.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions using machine learning or large language models to generate actionable insights.
  • Support agile teams in new product development with analytics expertise.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or STEM field with 6+ years of analytics experience in financial services/operations, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL programming, strong communication and presentation skills, and a detail-oriented, collaborative approach.
  • Experienced in developing traditional machine learning models (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP), designing prompts, and fine-tuning large language models (LLM).
  • Experience with Excel PivotTable, PowerPoint, Tableau, Alteryx, AWS, Spark/EMR, ChatGPT, Confluence, and Snowflake.
  • Collaborative team player with a high level of curiosity and the ability to operate independently.
  • Trained in machine learning, multivariate statistics, regression analysis, and data visualization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver concise presentations that clearly articulate challenges, actions, and results for complex issues—creating clarity and driving action among key stakeholders. Skilled at synthesizing data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
  • Good understanding of IT processes and databases, with the ability to work directly with data owners and custodians, contributing to the development of analytics data hubs.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Extensive experience in consumer banking units such as operations, servicing, collections, or marketing.
  • Strong understanding of multi-linear regression, logistic regression, clustering, classification techniques including LightGBM and XGBoost, controlled experiments, and causal inference methods (DD, PM, NN).
  • Proficient in big data ETL processes for both structured and unstructured databases.
