DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 1 year (12 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: using architecture and design across front-end web applications and back-end database and applications in public cloud and private cloud; working with Java and Spring Boot to develop microservices and Restful APIs; building component-based web applications with modern JavaScript front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Ember; utilizing databases including SQL, NoSQL, and entity relationship modeling; designing and developing highly reliable, scalable server platforms; working with developmental toolsets such as IntelliJ, VSCode, or Linux and Unix commands to work with git repos; coding in one or more modern programming languages including Java Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript; using software skills including business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement to ensure the software applications are resilient, reliable, and scalable; and utilizing container based development, orchestration, and micro services frameworks and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Jersey, or Swagger.
