As a Senior Product Associate in the Self-Directed Investing business, you will be responsible for defining and delivering a differentiated experience for how clients interact with and understand their overall investment portfolio, so they can make informed investment decisions.Through the experiences you create and manage, you will have the opportunity to create client engagement, establish loyalty to our platform, and ultimately enable growth for the Self-Directed Investing business. The scope for the experiences that you will manage and deliver spans across web, mobile, notifications, and customer service via phone and digital channels. You will model and cultivate the team’s customer first orientation, lean agile mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Job responsibilities- Collaborate with design, engineering, analytics, and marketing teams to discover, develop, and build product enhancements informed by customer insights and data
- Conduct discovery sessions to clarify and prioritize requirements
- Own and write detailed requirements that capture functional, design, analytics, and control/regulatory features
- Provide clear vision and scope documentation, workflows, detailed business requirements, use cases and other materials as needed to support UX design, development, and infrastructure
- Review and certify new experiences with QA, engineering, and design teams to ensure it meets expectations. Drive the prioritization and resolution of issues
- Facilitate decision-making to make smart trade-offs when appropriate
- Manage stakeholder communications to ensure business needs are met. Set and manage expectations through effective written and oral communication
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Familiarity with an array of financial instruments, investment products
- Experience authoring detailed business requirements, defining user stories, and leading execution, including bringing together cross-functional teams within an Agile development framework
- Proven ability to distill complex ideas into consumable and actionable materials
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Industry involvement - staying abreast of industry trends and issues
- Commitment and self-motivation suitable to a start-up team in a large organization
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Experience in the self-directed brokerage or wealth management industry preferred
