Scope of Position:
Provides engineering support for the American Warming and Ventilating team as well as for Company customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Optimize Workforce and Workflow: Analyze and strategize workforce utilization, space requirements, and equipment/workspace layouts to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Proactively identify opportunities for enhancement, develop strategic plans, and lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement activities across the organization. Effectively utilize and document Kaizen events to foster operational excellence and drive measurable results
- Develop Advanced Manufacturing Processes: Research product requirements, testing methods, and collaborate with vendors to develop innovative and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Support New Product Development: Contribute to product development by communicating manufacturing capabilities, tooling constraints, and feasibility to ensure successful integration.
- Responds to building project inquiries and advises potential customers’ engineers on design and optimization of their HVAC systems
- Serves as liaison with Plant Managers to: control the flow of orders and provide the Plant Managers working blueprints (through drafters) required to manufacture modified and/or customized products
- Travels – some travel may be required to provide on-site technical advice and support to customers with regard to technology – <5% of the time.
- Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
Position Requirements:
The Mechanical Engineer must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; including a working knowledge of psychrometric basics
- Knowledge of HVAC systems preferred; louvers and dampers
- Confident and competent when speaking to groups as well as one-on-one; able to communicate effectively on a technical level
- Able to maintain excellent working relationships with a wide variety of both internal and external customers; a good sense of humor will help
- Very capable in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint – with specific emphasis on exceptional Excel skills
- Must be a “team player” who demonstrates a strong work ethic and can work without close supervision
