The Financial Crime (FC) Data Platforms team’s role is to manage data products, processes and applications on the Compliance/FC Data Lakes and Cloud Environments and define the strategy for their future evolution. This encompasses the end-to-end design, modelling and delivery of enhanced datasets to optimise the performance of our crime detection models and yield the greatest possible insight for all users, including FC Analyst, Investigator, Data Scientist and MI communities, many of whom we collaborate with closely. The team is also responsible for regulating the data environment, including platform architecture, management and configuration, security and data quality.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Data Analyst

In this role, you will:

• Uses a range of data tools (including SQL and python on Hadoop and GCP environments) to perform analysis/analytics tasks on a broad range of dataset to yield insight which informs design of business and technical processes and data assets.
• Demonstrates traceability of functional and non-functional requirements and solution design. Create analysis of data-driven product functionality.
• Provides insight to how a Data Analyst should learn and progress throughout the organization. Drives adoption of the practice across the Data Analyst community.

• Manages and evaluates the change impact assessments of proposed requirements. Understands and challenges the implications of change such as dependencies, feasibility, scope, outputs, and process.
• Manages and provides domain expertise to support design development activities, e.g. reviewing technical documentation and working with data and technical specialists from stakeholder teams to design their capabilities (including models and business processes)
• Manages and helps prepare for Design Authorities and other forums and works with the development team to ensure challenges raised are addressed.

To be successful you will:

• Broad understanding of portfolio of design projects. Broad understanding of technical tools may be required dependent on the scope of the Agile Team.
• Provides extended expertise in process and is considered an authority on data and how to use it to further the Value Stream business objectives.
• Broad understanding of risk exposure to the bank and helping senior colleagues manage it. Assures delivery through the entire life cycle of the project of user requirements through to live.
• Drives measurable continuous improvement into all delivery environments across all disciplines.
• Ensuring team spirit: strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
