JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Product Delivery Associate in Business Rules, you enable the release of products and features by overcoming obstacles. As an emerging member of the team, you work across the organization and enable the product to continuously deliver value, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role. You will collaborate with business and technology partners to design, build, test, implement, and optimize business rules that drive our strategies forward. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will help ensure our solutions are both effective and adaptable.

Job responsibilities

  • Supports delivery processes including intake, dependency management, release management, product operationalization, delivery feasibility decision-making, and product performance reporting, while highlighting opportunities to improve efficiencies

  • Contributes to change management activities across functional partners and documents adherence to the firm’s risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements

  • Documents blockers and impediments to aid with dependency management and resource availability

  • Collaborates with the Product Delivery Manager to engage stakeholders and cross-functional partners to manage dependencies and timelines

  • Designs, builds, tests, implements, and maintains integrated business rule solutions using tools such as IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) to support product strategies and objectives.

  • Translates business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications and collaborates with technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Develops and executes comprehensive unit testing and functional tests to validate business rule changes and ensure defect-free implementation.

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation for business rules, requirements, impact assessments, and test plans.

  • Identifies, escalates, and helps resolve defects or issues discovered during testing and peer reviews, proposing effective solutions.

  • Analyzes existing strategies and processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and speed-to-market improvements.

  • Builds strong relationships with business partners, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of product initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management, project management, or a relevant domain area

  • Demonstrated experience or equivalent expertise in product management, project management, or a relevant domain area

  • Exposure to operational management and change readiness workstreams

  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical thinking in evaluating complex business and technical challenges.

  • Adapts quickly to new information and technologies, applying newly acquired knowledge to drive continuous improvement.

  • Shows a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, consistently seeking opportunities to expand expertise and contribute independently.

  • Takes initiative in identifying root causes of issues, proposing alternative solutions, and collaborating with peers to implement effective resolutions.

  • Maintains a high level of organization and self-motivation, proactively seeking out information to enhance understanding of business and technical processes.

  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Possesses a solid understanding of business requirements management and the software development lifecycle, with proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Emerging knowledge of product release and deployment processes 

  • Previous collections or credit card industry experience 

  • Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, SAS or another programming language
