Platform Services have evolved from the Betfair Exchange expertise in extreme volume, high availability, low latency systems taking technologies and services out to the whole of the Flutter Group covering areas such as Personalisation, Real Time analytics and Product catalogues.

Java, KX (a real time, in memory, analytic database) and Amazon Web Services are our primary technologies of choice. We are continually driving the aim of being a leader within Flutter in these technologies.

We promote Hackdays, Innovation Days, self-learning and provide developers space to fulfil their potential and the needs of the tribe.

How you’ll play it

• Your primary role is to drive the success of 2 teams of 5-6 developers that build, test, release and support their own applications.

• Are you passionate about both technology and people with exceptional communication skills in a Multi-faceted and fast paced, agile environment?

• Managing the delivery of projects on Platform Service's roadmap and drive the evolution of your team's software delivery capability

• Interacting and engaging with Senior management, Product Owners, Architects and Commercial Managers will be a regular aspect of the role

What you’ll bring

• The desire to guide and manage development teams in an Agile, Continuous Delivery-based (CD) environment as well as having significant development exposure yourself?

• Hands-on experience in delivering complex software solutions

• Working with distributed, resilient, and transactional systems in the full CD lifecycle

• Strong people and project management exposure and an ability to guide, motivate and inspire a highly productive, dynamic, and technically proficient team
