About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially-focused Head of Account Management to lead and develop our national Account Management team within UK Mail. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving retention, deepening strategic customer relationships and growing multimillion-pound contracts with some of the UK’s largest organisations, including major financial institutions.

You’ll bring a fresh, innovative viewpoint and a naturally curious mindset - someone who asks great questions, challenges constructively, and spots opportunities others may miss. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and exceptional relationship management.

What You’ll Do

Lead, coach and develop an 8-person Account Management team to deliver a high-performance culture

Own and deliver the customer development strategy for UK Mail

Build deep, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders across large, complex organisations

Retain and grow multimillion-pound contracts through exceptional service, strong commercial understanding and proactive account planning

Develop compelling commercial proposals, leveraging strong financial and operational insight

Negotiate multi-year contracts with major corporate postal users

Oversee tender responses and renewals to secure long-term customer commitments

Drive profitability within existing accounts by improving efficiency and service quality

Act as a key partner to operational, commercial, finance and product teams

Use customer insight and market intelligence to influence product development and commercial strategy
