JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a skilled data professional with a passion for transforming raw data into actionable insights and a proven track record of learning and implementing new technologies? The Finance Data & Insights Team is an agile product team responsible for the development, production, and transformation of financial data and reporting across Consumer and Community Banking (CCB). Our vision is to enhance the lives of our people and increase the firm's value by leveraging data and advanced tools to analyze information, generate insights, save time, improve processes and controls, and lead the organization in developing future-ready skills.

As an Analytical Solutions Manager, you will lead the design, delivery, and adoption of analytical solutions that turn financial data from across multiple lines of businesses into actionable insights.  Partner with senior leaders to prioritize high‑impact use cases, modernize data pipelines, and scale self‑service analytics. Own outcomes across solution strategy, development, controls, automation, and user enablement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Align with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to turn business goals into clear analytical solutions and roadmaps.
  • Prioritize a backlog to maximize value, reduce cycle time, and improve decisions.
  • Create and maintain reports, simple tools that help people make decisions, and data connections; produce analysis that can be reused.
  • Build reliable data pipelines: clean, model, and optimize queries on large financial data.
  • Automate manual work (ad hoc queries, quality checks, recurring reports) with tools like Alteryx and Python.
  • Enforce strong controls: testing, lineage, reproducibility, and documented data/visual accuracy.
  • Partner with Technology to operationalize solutions, strengthen controls, and transition support.
  • Scale enablement with documentation, training, and short how-to videos to drive adoption.
  • Measure adoption and user satisfaction, then iterate to reduce time to insight.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years delivering analytical solutions in financial services; proven track record turning raw data into insights.
  • Expert at business intelligence and data wrangling: Tableau (advanced), Alteryx/SAS/Python for pipelines and Quality Control (QC).
  • Strong SQL across relational/big‑data systems; skilled at optimizing complex queries and large‑scale summaries.
  • Experience in reporting development, testing, and objective analysis from imperfect/disparate data sources.
  • Ability to align analytics with business context, uncover opportunities, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated focus on controls, risk management, and flexibility to meet evolving control requirements.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

  • Prior experience in financial services required (banking, payments, or capital markets).
  • Cloud data platforms: AWS, Databricks, Snowflake; big‑data query tools (Hive, SQL, Python).
  • Search‑driven/self‑service analytics: ThoughtSpot or similar; familiarity with AI‑assisted insights.
  • Experience with automation of ad‑hoc queries, Quality Control (QC) dashboards, and operational reporting.
  • Product thinking: roadmap ownership, Objective and Key Results (OKRs), adoption metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration with Technology/Analytics/Finance to build scalable, governed analytics infrastructure.
