Product Manager – Cyber Security

Location: Farringdon (3 times a week)

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cyber Security team as a Product Manager, helping to shape and scale product thinking in a space where it’s still relatively new. It’s a growth role, focused on building out early-stage product strategy, discovery, and establishing the value of product management within the cyber function.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and security teams to define and deliver initiatives that enhance Tesco’s cyber capability, tooling, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead early-stage product discovery and strategy within the Cyber Security domain.

  • Define product goals, success metrics, and priorities in collaboration with stakeholders across security, technology, and operations.

  • Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clear, actionable roadmaps.

  • Champion the product mindset within an area still maturing in its product adoption.

  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to deliver user-focused outcomes.

  • Balance technical feasibility, business value, and user impact when defining initiatives.

Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally in a complex, technology-driven environment.

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and shaping strategy from the ground up.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Awareness of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and approaches (e.g., endpoint detection, threat management, identity access, etc.).

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and security teams.

Desirable:

  • Background or exposure to cyber security domains (either direct experience or adjacent).

  • Familiarity with common product and collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Jira, Confluence).

  • Awareness of AI trends and how they intersect with cybersecurity would be a plus.

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications or academic qualifications are nice-to-have, but not essential.

What We’re Looking For

A strategic and curious product thinker who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys discovery, and can build credibility in a technical and evolving space. Someone who can demonstrate the value of product in an area still developing its product maturity, and who’s comfortable navigating both the strategic and the operational sides of delivery.
