Head of Data Products – Data Monetisation 
(Cross-Sector & Infrastructure Lead)
Reporting Into: Director, Data Monetisation
Direct Reports: Senior Product Manager (Advertising) + potentially future PM hires
When Needed: Q1 2026
Role Overview
You will lead the product function for Data Monetisation: defining the product vision and 
roadmap, building core infrastructure and privacy-compliant data capabilities, 
launching sector-ready data product offerings, and ensuring delivery across multiple 
verticals (finance, mobility, tech, advertising, etc.). You are the steward of the delivery of 
the product roadmap, driving quality, compliance, scalability and alignment with 
business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
o Define and maintain the cross-sector product roadmap, prioritising builds 
with highest monetisation potential (datasets, new signals, visualisation 
tools, external data integration, privacy enhancements, etc.).
o Translate business strategy and Business Development (BD) feedback 
into product priorities and delivery timelines.
• Solution Design & Cross-Functional Delivery
o Lead spec and design of new data products: datasets, API endpoints, 
visualisation layers, analytics or indicator modules, external data 
integration (e.g. third-party data, external datasets).
o Work with Engineering, Data Science, Privacy, Security, Legal and 
Architecture teams to ensure solutions meet compliance, scalability, and 
data governance standards.
o Drive delivery from concept to production, ensuring quality, privacy 
compliance, and documentation (data schema, test data, user guides, 
onboarding workflows).
• Sector-Specific Capability Builds
o Build sector-ready product variants: e.g.? hedge-fund-ready financial data 
sets, mobility/ mapping data products, ad-tech datasets, AI-ready data 
pipelines.
o Prototype advanced features (e.g. integrations with AI platforms, PETcompliant data sharing, anonymised data deliverables).
• Stakeholder & Client Collaboration
o Work closely with Business Development (BD) leads and clients to 
validate product-market fit, gather feedback, and iterate products 
accordingly.
o Act as the internal product champion, aligning cross-functional teams 
around product vision and ensuring consistent communication and 
delivery across teams.
• Product Quality, Governance & Compliance
o Ensure all data offerings adhere to data privacy, anonymisation, 
compliance and internal security standards.
o Maintain rigorous documentation, data governance workflows and 
compliance checkpoints.
• Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
o Define and track key product metrics (adoption, usage, retention, 
revenue, client satisfaction).
o Use market feedback, usage data, and client feedback loops to iterate, 
refine and scale product offerings. 
Essential Competencies & Experience
• Proven experience managing data, analytics, or data-driven product portfolios or 
platforms. 
• Strong technical fluency in data infrastructure, cloud platforms (ideally GCP), API 
design, data pipelines, and data governance/compliance.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, 
privacy/security, BD) through complex product builds and deliver to production.
• Excellent stakeholder management, with capability to synthesize business 
needs, technical constraints, compliance requirements, and deliver viable 
product solutions.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
• Knowledge or experience with alternative data, mobility/geospatial datasets, adtech data, anonymisation techniques or privacy-enhancing technologies.
• Experience designing data products for regulated or privacy-sensitive industries 
(finance, advertising, etc.).
• Prior involvement in building data-delivery platforms, APIs, data visualisation 
layers or external data integrations.
