As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Workplace Solutions team, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services that power our enterprise platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, applying best practices in software development and promoting technical excellence. Your role will help us deliver robust solutions that support our business and clients. You will thrive in a collaborative environment where your ideas and skills are valued, and you’ll be empowered to grow and make a difference.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend services using .NET technologies
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C#
  • Design and optimize database solutions with MS SQL Server
  • Build RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Apply software design patterns and best practices
  • Integrate and deploy solutions on cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS
  • Use version control systems for source code management
  • Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the team
  • Break down business requirements from Epics into User Stories
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 6 years of experience in commercial software development
  • Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with .NET and/or .NET Framework
  • Solid understanding of SQL, query optimization, and stored procedures
  • Familiarity with design patterns and software development best practices
  • Experience with version control tooling and branching strategies
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
  • Familiarity with Bitbucket, Jira, Swagger, Bruno, or Postman
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, containerization, and deployment tools
  • Experience in Agile development environments
