## **1\. Role Overview**
Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab on a large-scale AI training initiative focused on improving narrative analysis, media interpretation, and culturally grounded entertainment reasoning in advanced language models. We’re seeking experienced TV and Movies experts to contribute by creating and evaluating film- and television-related prompts and responses.
This is a multilingual opportunity. We are specifically seeking experts who are fluent and deeply engaged in one or more of the following languages:
**Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.**
Importantly, we are not looking for translation ability alone. Candidates must have sustained engagement with film and television within their linguistic and cultural context — including familiarity with regional cinema, television industries, genre conventions, production styles, critical discourse, and audience trends.
This role is ideal for serious film and TV enthusiasts, critics, reviewers, content creators, screenwriting hobbyists, or dedicated fans who actively participate in entertainment communities in their language ecosystem.
## **2\. Key Responsibilities**
- Author realistic prompts spanning film analysis, television storytelling, genre comparison, character development, screenwriting structure, industry trends, and media history
- Review and revise AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, narrative insight, cultural authenticity, and clarity
- Write high-quality human-authored “gold” responses for complex interpretive or comparative entertainment questions
- Create controlled prompt variations that test subtle differences in genre, cultural context, time period, audience demographic, or production style
- Evaluate outputs across different tones (critical, analytical, conversational, industry-focused) and instruction constraints
- Identify model failure cases involving incorrect plot details, misattribution, shallow analysis, outdated references, or culturally inconsistent interpretations
## **3\. Ideal Qualifications**
- **2+ years of sustained, serious engagement with film and television as a hobby or analytical pursuit** (e.g., reviewing, writing analysis, content creation, film study, active participation in media communities)
- Active participation in TV and film discourse within at least one of the following languages: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi
- Strong familiarity with regional film industries, television formats, genre traditions, and culturally specific storytelling norms within your language context
- Ability to articulate narrative structure, thematic analysis, and media critique clearly in the target language
- Strong written communication skills and thoughtful editorial judgment
## **4\. More About the Opportunity**
- Expected commitment: **10–40 hours per week**
## **5\. Application Process**
- Submit your resume, writing samples, or relevant media-related work to get started
- Complete a short form outlining your TV/film background, areas of focus, and language proficiency
- We aim to follow up within a few days with next steps
