To be successful as an Automation Tester, you should have the following skills/experience:

• Coding experience preferably on Python and ability of writing and understanding complex MS SQL queries.
• Knowledge and experience of testing and using AWS technologies including some of the following : Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB.
• Experience in building efficient integration test as part of AWS automated deployment pipelines using AWS services.
• Test framework design experience across multiple programmes where individual has technically lead the test framework development tasks.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Proven ability to test enterprise level software solutions using tools and techniques such as BDD, Data Reconciliation, Source Control, TDD, Jenkins etc.
• Documenting configurations, processes, and best practices for the team.
• Working knowledge on different file formats JSON, Iceberg, Avro.
• Basic knowledge of AWS technologies IAM roles, Lakeformation, Security Groups, CloudFormation, Redshift.
• BigData / Data Warehouse testing experience.
• Worked in Financial services domain.
• Experience of mentoring (not line managing) other members of the team.
