We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE
In this role, you will:
- Accountability: for all elements of financial planning, budget management, cost management and ensuring adherence to cost targets
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing detailed project/business budgets and predicting future costs. Cost Control: Monitoring expenditures, identifying cost overruns, and implementing measures to reduce expenses.
- Financial Analysis: Analyzing costs of products/services, identifying trends, and finding areas for savings. Reporting: Preparing financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Working with project managers, finance teams, and other departments to align financial goals. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company policies and as an SROD
- Responsible for completion of the entity level materiality assessment and associated ITP activities in accordance with the ITP SOP and local entity requirements. Assist the entity COO in meeting their obligations in having all services provided listed under an appropriate *IGSA.
- Responsible for monitoring the monthly operational performance of the services they receive. Review and agree charges to their function following approval by the entity CFO.
- Stakeholder management is a key component of this role. The person should ensure that the key deliverables agreed with the stakeholders regarding the project related inputs, documentation etc. are met or exceeded. Gravitas of participating in senior steercos and global forums
- The function will go through significant transformation over the next 12-18 months and therefore the role holder will need to remain flexible to meet the demand on the function and navigate complex organizational changes
- Be self-directive and possess the ability to navigate complex challenges independently. Ability to think and act broadly and strategically rather than focusing only on short-term, local challenges. Be sensitive to local dynamics, taste, sensitivities when connecting with Stakeholders
To be successful you will:
- Knowledge of financial principles and cost management techniques, know-how of finance fundamentals, TM1 system and understanding of FRP/AOP mechanics
- Demonstrated analytical expertise and strong communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management experience.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; strong ability to portray a macro view and an eye for detail.
- Fair knowledge of the domain and sectors.
- The ability and orientation to innovate and implement initiatives.
- Experience in working in an offshore organization and demonstrable ability to navigate and influence a diverse set of senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of the Group TPR Policy includes ITPs -Internal Third Parties as a type of third party therefore subject to the same policy outcomes as all external third party suppliers
- Knowledge and awareness of minimum control requirements that must be adopted throughout HSBC, which include HSBC’s Risk Management Framework (‘RMF’)
