JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Lead Engineer - Secure Web Gateway & Proxy Infrastructure

As a member of our ECIS - Egress, you will dive into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You will join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to developing and deploying large scale infrastructure solutions that support JPMorganChase’s diverse and critical businesses.  You will be using the latest technologies, data management, and security practices. Critical thinking, clear communication, and collaboration are key to successful product delivery.

The ECIS is responsible for various business enabling product offerings including load balancing, web application firewalls, distributed denial of service protections, web proxy services, and all Internet routing presence for JPMorgan Chase globally. The team provides design, engineering, onboarding, and maintenance of services supporting new deployments, network refreshes, product lifecycle, audit & compliance, and customer/business facing demand for JPMorganChase globally.

Roles & Responsibilities

A Sr Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the Egress team will have the following responsibilities

  • Client and Stakeholder management including client consultations, communication of expected completion dates and ongoing expectation management
  • Contribute to process management and improvement within the team by updating and creating documentation and runbooks  in line with engineering standards
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Proxy issues
  • Collaborate with other IT & business teams to align proxy solutions with organizational goals
  • Contribute to change management process improvement by building standardized change implementation templates
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in installation, migration and decommission suite of Broadcom (erstwhile Bluecoat) devices including Proxy SG, Secure Web Gateway (ISG), Symantec Content Analysis Systems (CAS), SSL Visibility appliances and Symantec Management Center (SMC)
  • Experience with other SaaS based Secure Gateway vendor e.g.  Zscaler, Netskope etc.
  • Ability to build, test and deploy proxy-based security solutions
  • Good understanding of network infrastructure, network security concepts and application layer protocols (http/https) and vulnerability mitigation
  • Good understanding of REST API and container-based deployment models
  • Understanding of version and revision control practices and procedures
  • Proficient in use of SEIM tools for investigate purposes
  • Scripting skills for automation of a Proxy environment and understanding and comfortable working on shell/python scripts and Ansible playbooks.
  • Expertise of networking fundamentals including Network topology, VLANs, Routing, Switching, Global/Local Load Balancing and Firewalls
  • Flexible to work off hours and weekends in 24x7 on-call rotation
