Node.js Engineer

Role purpose

We’re looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team. You'll work
alongside experienced developers and our Technical Leads to help build reliable, high-
performance backend systems using Node.js and Fastify.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

• Developing and maintaining backend services using Node.js and Fastify
• Building and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, design, and frontend developers
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to team best practices
• Supporting deployments, CI/CD workflows, and cloud-based systems

Essential skills, knowledge, or experience
(Inc. professional or technical qualifications)

Role Description 

• Experience working with Node.js, with a good understanding of asynchronous
  programming and event-driven architecture
• Hands-on experience using Fastify (or similar frameworks like Express) and familiarity with
  building APIs and integrating with third-party services
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript and modular code design
• Understanding of backend performance, reliability, and scalability principle and exposure
  to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or similar
• Comfortable using Git, Docker, and CI/CD tools with an eagerness to learn, take
  ownership, and grow as a backend engineer
