In 2023, DLG spent c.£2 Billion on Motor claims. This important role is accountable for the development and delivery of accurate and timely Management Information reporting across Motor Claims, together with robust data analysis, in order that the operation and key stakeholders are able to make informed and quality business decisions. You will support business as usual operations, the Claims Change function and any strategic initiatives focussing on key drivers of indemnity and operational performance. Other duties include:
Work with Claims stakeholders in order to design and implement fit-for-purpose reporting containing relevant, accurate, timely and commercially-focussed key performance indicators
Deliver and track reporting on Motor Claims within agreed timescales
Continuously seek to improve the quality of MI provided to the business, and to support, prioritise, and challenge ad-hoc requests from the business
Work with the business to educate and shape the MI request in order to better meet objectives and reinforce a culture of working in partnership by keeping stakeholders informed and updated
Adopt a creative approach to resolving complex problems in mining and manipulation of data, identify alternative non-standard mechanisms and approaches to achieve the desired output
Using your experience, both professionally and gained away from the workplace, to help us be innovative, dynamic and continuously curious
Focus on costs, process improvements and efficiencies to contribute to the profitability of Direct Line Group
You’ll be a self-starter who is curious about data and has an aptitude for data analysis together with a keen attention to detail. You’ll be analytically minded and a strong problem solver and will be able to quickly gain a good understanding of the data and reporting needs of the business. Other skills:
Knowledge and experience of SQL is desirable, as is exposure to reporting services and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Power BI)
The ability to investigate issues and problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements
Mindset to be innovative and challenging in your approach to work; being able to overcome obstacles by generating new insights and ways of doing things
An eagerness to learn and take responsibility for your own development to maximise your personal contribution to the team

Salary Range: £30,000 to £50,000
Hours: 35 hours (Monday to Friday - shift patterns can be discussed)
