Job Description:

Are you an established people leader looking for your next career move within Quality? We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team in Edinburgh where you will lead, develop, and improve the quality people, processes, culture, safety and customer experience, enabling world class production of Leonardo products and continued business growth.

As Quality Manager at this level you will cover both delivery and capability and you will be expected to plan and manage people, resources, projects and communications in support of the Head of Quality, operations leadership and business area leadership.

Your Impact

You will lead a business area quality team, responsible for effective leadership, planning and communication of objectives and standardising process and practice in quality manufacturing.

  • Manage and support the identification of the specific sector and program risks, threats and opportunities
  • Defect management including management plan for the continued reduction in the Total Cost of Non-Quality (TCNQ) utilising effective tools, techniques and reporting including a robust root cause analysis culture
  • Manage focused and targeted internal risk-based audit plan
  • Work in conjunction with the Supplier Quality and Procurement Leader to create specific supplier management plans ensuring identification of key supplier risks
  • Create, agree and deliver KPIs and maintain the defined operations KPIs to be used to review and inform decision making
  • Ensure advice, planning and undertaking with regard to external certification standards (AS9100) is in line with central quality governance

What you’ll bring:

  • Broad and/or deep knowledge and experience of Business Operations and Quality Management
  • Quality management experience within a highly regulated industry
  • Ability to demonstrate a 'through life approach’ to Quality Management
  • Depth of experience in people management skills
  • A background in engineering and/or clean room experience would be beneficial
  • CQI diploma is preferred but not essential

Security Clearance

This role will require National Security Vetting to SC level. It is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. A range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) will apply, this will include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
