Full-Time Security Officer @ Lonza - $20.00-$21.20/hr - Newington, NH

Securitas Security Services is expanding our Security Team at Lonza located in Newington, NH. We are looking for Part-Time and Full-Time Security Officers to fill various shifts. 

The ideal candidate brings a background in military service, law enforcement, or security, along with strong leadership and managerial capabilities. Previous experience in security or management is strongly preferred but not required, as Securitas offers a comprehensive training program to support your success. Whether you are just starting your career or in retirement, Securitas is a GREAT choice!

Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00/hr with shift differential for 3rd shift being $21.20

Schedules/Shifts Available: 

1st Shift, Friday - Monday, 6:00am – 2:00pm, 32 hrs/week

1st/2nd Shift, Sunday & Wednesday, 6:00am – 2:00pm – Friday & Saturday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm, 32 hrs/week

2nd Shift, Sunday – Thursday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm, 40 hrs/week

3rd Shift, Friday – Monday, 10:00pm – 6:00am, 32 hrs/week

Requirements:

• 18 Years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Previous Military and/or Law enforcement experience a plus!!
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, & have a strong work ethic
• Conflict resolution & de-escalation skills preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must be able to conduct foot and/or mobile patrols throughout shift – During various weather conditions.
• Must be able to stay alert & have great attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
• Must have a reliable means of transportation & communication.

WORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)

• Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.

• Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.
• May be required to work overtime without advance notice.
• Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Keyboarding, basic computer usage, and operating controls.
• Seeing, hearing, speaking and writing clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
• Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• On occasion it may be required to perform stressful and physical activity. 
• Depending upon assignment may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
• May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information.
