Finance & Admin Specialist - Barnsley!

As Evri opens the doors to our brand-new Barnsley Fulfilment site this September, we’re looking for a People & Finance Specialist to join the team and play a vital role at the heart of the depot.

We’re open to flexible working arrangements, including part-time or reduced hours over 5 days, making this an ideal opportunity for experienced professionals returning to work or seeking balance.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting into the Fulfilment General Manager, you’ll be the trusted front-line ambassador for all people, finance and administrative activity on site. From managing costs and analysing performance data, to supporting managers with people processes and being the first point of contact for HR and pay queries, you’ll help ensure the depot runs efficiently, compliantly and cost-effectively.

You’ll work closely with the wider Site Management Team, Finance and People partners to identify cost opportunities (including labour, agency and facilities spend), ensure governance is robust, reporting is accurate, and colleagues feel informed, supported and engaged as the site grows.

Responsibilities

Manage and analyse site budgets, highlighting risks, trends and cost-saving opportunities

Produce daily, weekly and periodic financial and people reports for the General Manager

Act as gatekeeper for depot spend, ensuring POs are raised, approved and within budget

Own and maintain accurate people, payroll, time & attendance and HR system processes

Provide clear, timely data to support effective workforce planning and decision-making

Serve as the first point of contact for pay, HR, admin and system queries at depot level
