We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Director - Insights and Analytics
In this role, you will:
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) from various sources, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity. Design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient data extraction, storage, and processing.
- Extract and integrate data from external sources, such as public databases, social media platforms and third-party vendors to enhance advanced analytics capabilities.
- Understand business requirements, identify root cause of the issue and provide sustainable resolution. Acquire knowledge in banking/financial products and services, revenues drivers and financial risk parameters
- Strong understanding of the data source, risk-related performance measures, in particularly with RoRWA methodology. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automations and drive changes independently
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex transactional and demographic datasets to identify patterns for identifying risk and opportunities.
- Engage various stakeholders to understand and collect project requirement, present analysis and or results, make recommendations on strategy formulation and solicit project feedback.
- Lead a functional team of SMEs/ Technical Specialist to provide supervisory cover and functional support as deemed necessary. This may or may not include Line Management responsibilities that would entail continuous performance and developmental feedback for the employees. Provide necessary support, review and back up cover plans for the function.
To be successful you will:
- Good to have knowledge of Banking domain use cases with specific applications to data science problems.
- 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in banking and financial sector.
- University degree in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or any other quantitative related discipline, Masters degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Python, SQL, or similar analytically oriented programming languages. Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as GCP, Azure and AWS and big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, etc.
- Extensive technical skill in data mining, able to understand various data structures both structured and unstructured and common methods in data transformation.
- High technical aptitude, problem solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, motivation, and passion for data discovery. Open minded and self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong sense of responsibility.
- Knowledge and good experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense will be a strong plus. In depth knowledge and experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms will be a strong plus.
