As the Water Quality Capital Programme Manager you will lead, shape and drive delivery of projects across the water, fisheries, river restoration and catchment management portfolio to ensure spend of over £7million per year to realise measurable benefits in our environment. With a proven track record in programme and project planning, delivery and evaluation you will use your knowledge of the water environment and associated ecosystems to shape the current and future programme. You will use your technical knowledge to solve problems and finding solutions either based on your own experience or by networking project managers and experts to find the right SMNR solution.
A member of the Integrated Water Planning Team, whose remit includes River Basin Management Planning, and the National Environment Programme, you will work across strategy, policy and operations teams to develop, deliver and evaluate the water quality capital programme delivery. You will also work with the Strategic Projects and Programmes team, Strategic Planning and Investment colleagues and Policy owners in NRW. You will be expected to build both an internal and external network. Key external partners include Welsh Government and environmental non-government organisations (eNGOs) such as the Rivers Trusts.
