JOB DESCRIPTION

Join Infrastructure Platforms Network Technology team as a Deputy Chief of Staff, where you'll enhance organizational effectiveness, lead people development, and drive process improvements. This role combines operational expertise and strategic thinking to support high-impact initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with General Managers and cross-functional teams. You'll have opportunities for professional growth and mentorship, working closely with senior leadership to shape the future of the Network Product Line. Your technical knowledge will facilitate innovative solutions and ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business goals.

Leverage your technical expertise and leadership in a dynamic environment with massive scale, reach, and impact. Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and change, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business goals. With advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities, you will foster productive working relationships and influence decision-making to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to the development of operational plans and risk management strategies, ensuring the highest quality and professionalism in service delivery.

  • Lead monthly business review process for the product line, including end-to-end delivery and content maturation through engagement with platform and service owners.
  • Oversee portfolio management activities, including ownership of the portfolio and resource management tool
  • Manage monthly product line headcount forecasting, reconciliation, and planning; maintain historical data and provide effective storytelling on headcount trends.
  • Oversee product line travel and expense management, including planning and budget oversight.
  • Drive process improvements and support the team in navigating a rapidly transforming business environment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on organizational effectiveness, identify issues, and recommend solutions. Partner with the GM and Chief of Staff to drive remediation efforts.
  • Lead the people development agenda, supporting team growth, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the central communications team to ensure effective messaging and develop Product Line Town Hall materials.
  • Maintain product line overview content.
  • Serve as a backup to the Chief of Staff, supporting GMs and product line leadership as needed.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity by translating vision into actionable roadmaps and proactively positioning the team for future success.
  • Skilled at translating complexity into clarity for diverse audiences, from engineers to executives.
  • Outcome-driven, with a focus on metrics, accountability, and delivering measurable results.
  • Effective at breaking silos and unblocking execution to drive team efficiency and collaboration.
  • Sets a tone of excellence, urgency, integrity, and optimism across teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; adept at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Intellectually curious, entrepreneurial, and results-driven.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build relationships and interact effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to storyboard and develop visually compelling presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
