We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Product Owner to join our Global Collateral team. This role is located in New York. 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Influence platform strategic direction and product prioritization by seeking opportunities to deliver greater value for our global client base
  • Conduct sophisticated analytics informed by market and proprietary data to inform critical business decisions leveraging latest AI models and BI tools
  • Develop and deploy scalable, competitive, pricing frameworks that reflect the value of platform services to clients and achieve profitability targets
  • Collaborate across teams including sales, technology, legal, operations, and third-party vendors to launch new products and financing flows, and to expand platform reach to new markets
  • Regularly interface and engage with clients and regulatory agencies such as the SEC, FRB, FINRA, etc

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • 5-10 years of demonstrated expertise in global funding markets, particularly U.S. government securities markets, and deep familiarity with U.S. Treasuries, agency MBS, and agency debt instruments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Knowledge of industry, mechanics, and regulations of institutional and retail cash management products including deposits, money market funds, short-term funding markets, and others
  • Strong quantitative skills and comfort with performing complex analysis on large datasets using latest BI and AI tools to inform product and pricing decisions.
  • Proven track record of designing, launching, and managing financial products and funding structures, with specific experience in triparty repo structures and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of triparty platforms, margining practices, collateral optimization, and the role of clearing banks and custodians
  • Familiarity with the settlement infrastructure supporting U.S. government securities, including Fedwire, DTCC/NSCC, and FICC GCF/DVP and Triparty based services.
  • Experience collaborating with legal, compliance, and operations to structure innovative financing products while ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Ability to interface credibly with institutional clients, dealers, and internal stakeholders including trading, technology, risk, and operations teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex market concepts into actionable platform strategies, published thought leadership, and client briefs

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
