Role: Digital Transformation Operations Manager
Contract: 12m Fixed Term Contract
Shift pattern: Full Time
Location: Nottingham
Closing date: 3rd April 2026
Recruitment Partner: Matthew Nelligan
We're looking for a highly organised, proactive Digital Transformation Operations Manager to help a high‑performing analytics function run smoothly. You will bring structure to our planning and delivery rhythms, align demand with capacity, and keep our ways of working clear and inclusive so we can deliver brilliant outcomes for colleagues and customers.
You'll also help shape the voice and identity of our analytics team. By bringing a creative flair to how we communicate, you'll design clear, engaging, and inclusive narratives, visuals, and updates. These will make our work easy to understand across the organisation. You will report to the Head of Digital Analytics and partners with Analytics Managers, a Lead Analyst, a Data Scientist, Data/Visualisation Engineers and a large Data Collection & Tagging team. You won't manage people directly, but you will be the operational backbone that helps everyone succeed.
Run the single front door for analytics work: manage intake, triage and prioritisation so the team focuses on the highest‑value outcomes.
Maintain a rolling 12‑month resource and capacity forecast, highlighting constraints and options (re‑prioritise, sequence, or request additional support).
Manage JIRA governance for the analytics function: clear workflows, statuses, conventions and reliable reporting/dashboards.
Lead the operational schedule: planning cycles, stand‑ups, cross‑team dependency reviews and progress reporting to partners.
Oversee vendor and procurement operations (renewals, POs, invoices) so tools and partners remain available and cost‑effective.
Publish simple, accessible operational dashboards so stakeholders can see backlog health, capacity and progress at a glance.
Communicate clearly and inclusively with multiple partners, setting expectations early about what will be delivered and when.
Align analytics capacity and plans with wider product/technology roadmaps and, where relevant, programme milestones with Digital Project Managers.
Experience in resource planning, capacity modelling or operational planning in a digital, technical or analytics environment.
Hands‑on experience using and administering JIRA (or similar workflow tools) with an eye for data quality and usability.
Strong organiser and facilitator who can bring structure to fast‑moving environments and keep work flowing.
Clear, inclusive communicator who turns complexity into clarity for a wide range of stakeholders.
Comfortable coordinating cross‑functional work and removing day‑to‑day blockers.
Experience managing operational processes such as vendor renewals, purchase orders and invoices.
A continuous‑improvement mindset: curious, pragmatic and focused on making it easier for teams to do their best work.
Experience working with digital analytics, data engineering or BI teams and their tooling.
Familiarity with agile or kanban practices and common delivery metrics (e.g., cycle time, WIP).
Understanding of SaaS licencing models and vendor usage tracking.
Background in retail, e‑commerce or large digital environments.
Progression into Analytics Operations Lead, Delivery Lead, Product Operations or Programme Delivery roles, with opportunities to broaden into Digital Transformation, Data Governance or Tooling Strategy as the function matures.
