About Vehicle Solutions

At Cox Automotive Europe, we’re on a mission to transform how vehicles are managed, tracked, and experienced across the UK and Europe. As our Product Owner in the Vehicle Solutions team, you’ll be at the heart of this transformation.

We’re not just building software—we’re building the Cox Connected Platform, a powerful ecosystem that gives customers a single, seamless view of all their assets. And we want you to help lead the charge.

We foster a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented environment where creativity and ownership are encouraged. As we continue to evolve our platform, we’re looking for a passionate Product Owner to join our team and help shape the future of the platform.

Role Overview

As Product Owner, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the success of the Vehicle Solutions platform. Working closely with the Head of Product, you’ll lead the development team to deliver high-impact solutions that improve platform performance and expand integration capabilities across the business.

You’ll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business and customer needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable development priorities. This is a hands-on, strategic role that requires strong collaboration, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of agile product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Vehicle Solutions development team to deliver prioritised outcomes aligned with business goals.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritisation of Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Conduct user research and discovery to understand customer pain points and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and various Product teams and third parties to ensure solutions are technically sound and customer-centric.
  • Maintain and communicate the product roadmap, providing visibility into progress, priorities, and delivery timelines.
  • Support quarterly planning, including capacity estimation and backlog refinement.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and senior leadership.
  • Support go-to-market strategies for new features and integrations.
  • Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance product performance and user experience.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in agile product development, including backlog management and user story creation.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle and delivery methodologies (Agile, Design Thinking).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and leading development teams.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the automotive sector.
  • Exposure to both B2B and B2C product environments.
  • Understanding of IT system design and databases.
  • Experience with successful product launches.
  • Familiarity with integration projects and API-based platforms.

What We’re Looking For

  • A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
  • Transparent and data-driven in decision-making.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making confident decisions.
  • Passionate about solving real customer problems with innovative solutions.
  • A strategic thinker who can balance short-term delivery with long-term vision.
