Infrastructure Engineer III-DNS/DDI

As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you

utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.

• Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
• Expertise with Bluecat Integrity (DDI vendor)
• Strong understanding of DNS architecture,  zones, records, views, polices, DHCP scopes
• Deploy, Configure and maintain DNS infrastructure that provides high available and scalable DNS services across our network
• Good command over IPv4 subnetting and network fundamentals
• Take inventory of the current DNS system and work with IT stakeholders to build a modern DNS System
   

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience

• Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
• Troubleshoot DDI problems and recommend corrective procedures leads troubleshooting DDI issues.
• Configure and maintain DNS,DHCP and IP address management (DDI) Solutions to ensure optimal performance and security
• Monitor and analyze DNS traffic for anomalies and potential threats

• Perform device configurations, internal operating system upgrades and software upgrades and deploy physical/VM appliances to support DNS infrastructure 

• Ability to initiate and implement ideas to solve business problems
• Passion for learning new technologies and driving innovative solutions.
