In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • responsible for leading a portfolio of strategic initiatives, ranging from targeted short-term or longer-term initiatives to regulatory matters and broader transformational change, that strengthen the control environment and advance enterprise risk management objectives
  • provide end‑to‑end oversight of initiative delivery, ensuring disciplined execution, strong risk and control integration, and transparent governance
  • This includes defining delivery roadmaps, tracking progress, managing interdependencies, and producing clear, decision‑ready reporting for senior management and governance forums
  • The role will embed continuous improvement by translating lessons learned into durable enhancements to compliance processes, tooling, and ways of working
  • partner closely with key stakeholders across Compliance, including Financial Crimes Compliance, Risk, and Engineering —from shaping approaches and defining requirements through implementation
  • Acting as an owner of the portfolio, the role will balance strategic ambition with delivery capacity, proactively identify and resolve issues, and ensure initiatives are aligned to enterprise priorities and risk appetite
  • The ability to drive outcomes through influence, rigorous governance, and pragmatic execution is central to advancing BNY’s commitment to running our company better and delivering for our clients

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Proven experience leading complex initiatives and programs in a global environment (ideally 10+ years)
  • Experience in Compliance (including Financial Crimes Compliance) or Risk related frameworks or programs is a strong preference.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and operate effective governance frameworks, including prioritization, dependency management, risk escalation, and executive reporting.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments; certifications (e.g., SAFe, PMP, Scrum) a plus.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate strategy into executable plans.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence without authority and build credibility with senior stakeholders across functions.
