Cross Product Technology Lead

We’re hiring a senior technology leader to lead the Cross Product Technology Sub Value Stream (part of the Finance Resource Management Value Stream)—owning end-to-end technology strategy, delivery and run for a global estate. What you’ll do (strategic + delivery + run)

This is a senior leadership role with global scope, accountable for end-to-end technology across delivery (CTB) and run (RTB), including production service assurance, architecture direction, vendor management, controls and risk.

Core responsibilities

End-to-end Service Ownership (CTB + RTB)

• Lead the end-to-end technology sub value stream delivery aligned to agreed outcomes and OKRs for the Finance Resource Management Value Stream.
• Act as the senior leader and overall service owner for the Cross Product technology estate, spanning delivery and production support.
• Own service management and operational resilience: monitoring, incident/problem management, capacity and performance management, and meeting time-critical reporting/close timelines where applicable.

Transformation Roadmap & Modern Engineering

• Define and drive a multi-year transformation roadmap, including simplification of legacy solutions, strategic platform adoption, and alignment to target architecture and operating model.
• Drive adoption and optimisation of Agile and DevOps ways of working to improve speed-to-market, resilience, quality and colleague experience.
• Translate market trends (data, digital, automation, cloud) into practical improvements and measurable outcomes.

Architecture Direction & Stakeholder Partnership

• Lead architecture direction for systems in scope globally, ensuring alignment to target architecture and operating model.
• Build trusted partnerships with Cross Product business leadership, ensuring technology priorities support business outcomes and regulatory/controls expectations.

Financial Management, Controls & Vendors

• Own RTB and CTB financial management: budget planning, forecasting, investment cases, benefits tracking and cost optimisation.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure strong governance, controls and risk management across the estate.

What you’ll bring

• Proven senior technology leadership with a track record of on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes at scale.
• Experience owning end-to-end global technology services (delivery + run) across a complex, federated estate.
• Strong background in cloud adoption (public/multi-cloud), modern engineering practices and platform-based delivery.
• Strong data and integration experience, including understanding of data strategy, analytics/BI patterns and governance.
• Demonstrable experience leading technology transformation in a banking environment, including large programmes and global rollouts.
• Strong Agile/DevOps leadership experience (operating model, metrics, tooling and continuous improvement).
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, investment governance and benefits realisation.
• Gravitas with senior stakeholders; excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills; able to explain complex topics clearly in writing and verbally.
