Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with CGI? We are looking for a passionate Test Engineer to become a valued member of our growing project team. As a Test Engineer at CGI, you'll play a pivotal role within an Agile Development team, contributing to the design, development, and execution of tests across multiple cutting-edge software & Infrastructure solutions. You'll have the opportunity to work with modern tools and technologies while collaborating on innovative projects. Your role will involve strategic input into testing roadmaps, facilitating the transition from manual to automation, and taking ownership of key client relationships and requirements gathering.

This role is based on-site near Reading, offering an immersive work experience five days a week. Due to the secure nature of the program, candidates must either hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance or be eligible to undergo National Security Vetting to obtain this clearance.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Attention to Detail: Previous experience in a testing environment where meticulous attention to detail is essential.
• Test Management Tools: Hands-on proficiency with tools such as ALM, TestRail, etc., for efficient test management.
• Agile Development: Familiarity with Agile development practices, including active participation in Agile team sprints and events.
• Requirements Analysis: Ability to effectively analyze project requirements and translate them into test plans.
• SAFe and Agile Expertise: Experience with SAFe and agile ways of working, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem investigation skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Analysing project requirements to devise comprehensive manual and automated test strategies using approved tools.
• Interpretation of test results, conducting preliminary investigations into failures, and raising defects when necessary.
• Monitoring defects through to resolution and actively participating in Agile team sprints and events.

While not mandatory, the following qualification would be advantageous:

• ISTQB Foundation Certification: Certification demonstrating a foundational understanding of software testing principles.
